When eating Hito your race changes to human. Instead, make it so you keep your current race but also gain the human race skills. Would give the fruit an actual use.
Side suggestion: Make it feedable to dogs, doing so turns it into a relatively strong follower similar to Doppleman or Black Knight, however you can make it sit/follow like a normal dog would.
(Don’t judge the suggestion based on the side part, was just an idea I had while writing this)

why do people still try to give hito a use....filthy deus ex fruit created for the sake of making chopper's existence make sense because minks did not exist yet...
Yeah, I agree that this is a good change cause right now almost every devil fruit has some upside but Hito doesnt, even though chopper makes it look sick XD, the only other suggestion i would have is maybe add a buff form, so it still give a zoan type buff for those who are mink fishman or cyborg but still have it be useless for humans.
ye and also make it so hito hito could give u like extra hp or smth cuz hito hito so annoying if u playing survival and get it from boxes
